Artikel: A Parisian Reading of Oud

Agarwood oud, amber resin and a crystal Potion Paris vial in a candlelit oriental setting

A Parisian Reading of Oud

The oldest scent in the world, told with a French accent.

Long before perfume came in bottles, there was oud. Agarwood, darkened by time and resin, burned in the courts of kings and the quiet of prayer — a scent so precious it was once weighed against gold. In the East it is heritage. In Paris, it becomes something else.

Oud is not a note you wear casually. It is smoke and warmth and something almost animal — the memory of a place you have never been, and the certainty that you belong there. Worn well, it does not announce you. It lingers in the room after you have gone, and makes people wonder.

The Maison keeps three oud-touched worlds, each a different conversation between two traditions.

For the legend

Enchanted Oud is the Maison's most storied — raspberry and rare night blooms drawn over ancient oud and amber, a hidden oasis held in golden crystal. It is oud made luminous; heritage, softened by light.

For the medina

Noir de Marrakesh is adventure — the medina at dusk, a hidden doorway, spice and smoke and shadow. Wear it when you want the evening to feel like somewhere far from home.

For the room

Royal Amber is authority. Amber and oud drawn deep and warm, the scent of someone a room remembers long after they have left it. It asks for nothing, and commands everything.

If oud is new to you, do not begin with a full bottle. Begin small — the Discovery Set holds the Maison's worlds in miniature, so you can live with oud before you wear it as your own.

Some scents are worn. Oud is inherited.
